We are committed to a stronger & better future

The Solmaid Community School (SCS) is providing free education (along with the books and other education materials, school uniform, foods, clothing, etc.) to the extreme poor, often referred to as ‘street children’ in and around Solmaid (Vatara) area of Dhaka city.

The school is funded solely through donations from overseas and the local community. It is administered by the School committee in consultation with the SCSF Board.

Our School Team

Unlike many other similar schools in Dhaka, this school is essentially run by teachers of Bangladesh, for children of Bangladesh and with their own locally developed Bangladeshi curriculum.
